Luck of the Irish $250 Giveaway

March 17th to 31st

Enter for your chance to win a $250 Amazon Gift Code or $250 in Paypal Cash!!

Thanks to this awesome group of bloggers and authors who have joined with me to bring you one fabulous prize!!

So what images come to mind when you think of Ireland? I have visited twice and cannot wait for my next trip. It has become my favorite destination: breathtaking scenery, mystical legends, friendly and warm people and awesome drinks and food.

For a chance to win an ebook copy of “Celtic Tales: Fairy Tales and Stories of Enchantment from Ireland, Scotland, Brittany, and Wales” please leave a comment and tell us what Irish images come to mind when you think of the Emerald Isle.

The traditional stories of Ireland, Scotland, Brittany, and Wales transport us to the fantastical world of Celtic folklore. Translated and transcribed by folklorists in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, the 16 stories in this compilation conjure forgotten realms and rare magical creatures in vivid prose. These timeless tales brim with wit and magic, and each one is brought to life with elegant silhouette art by Kate Forrester in this special illustrated edition.

Here are a few photos from my last trip that make me think of Ireland! First off: A Guinness tour and a typical Irish pub meal.

The villages (this one is Malahide, just outside Dublin) and the lively pub sessions and discussions!

Kilmainham Gaol (& politics), stone walls and sheep!

Castles and Cong ( the village of the Quiet Man). Yes, we had a Guinness at the pub where they took a break during the day-long fist fight between Sean (John Wayne) and Mary Kate’s brother.

And of course Galway Bay and the Burren. The bay was our morning coffee scenery. This is a pic from our patio in 2015.

May I leave you with two of my favorite Irish tunes. The first is Galway Bay, the second is Little Bit O’ Heaven, telling how the faeries and angels made Ireland. Enjoy the scenery and the brogue!

Our special guest today is Sprinkles McSpud. He is here to give you a few Gaelic terms that might come in handy if you ever visit the Emerald Isle.

From the Gaelic:

“Go n-éiri an bóthar leat,” which means may success be with you.

Sláinte -Meaning good health. Sláinte is the Gaelic word for health.

Slan – Meaning farewell. Slan is the Gaelic word for safe so it means keep safe.

Erin go Bragh – Meaning “Ireland forever” in Gaelic.

“Céad Mile Fáilte” which means literally, a hundred thousand welcomes.

Dia is Muire Dhuit – Meaning hello in Gaelic. The phrase literally means “God and Mary with you.”

Dia is Mhuire Duit agus Padraig – How the person responds,”God and Mary and St. Patrick with you.”

And my very favorite:

Póg Mo Thóin – Yes it means what you think it does, Gaelic for kiss my a**.

I am giving away a $10 gift card and an ebook copy of Crazed Reckoning. Yes, it has a generations-old Irish family feud in the plot.
