Excerpt
Had she missed them? Donna turned slightly to watch the crowd hurry toward baggage. None of them fit the British profile of pale, uptight, quiet, and polite. Maybe they missed the plane. Dipping her hand into her purse to retrieve her phone, she caught sight of an older couple standing outside the restroom wearing straw fedoras. Not the expected head garb, but a hat, all the same. She hurried toward them waving. “Howard and Elizabeth! Welcome.”
A wide smile stretched across Donna’s face as the female half of the couple shrank back and declared. “I think you have mistaken us for someone else.”
Snowbird Yankee. She’d recognize the accent anywhere. East Coast with a touch of contempt. Money, but not so much that they had their own plane or hired their own jet. Donna’s hand dropped along with her smile. Good manners dictated an appropriate response. “So sorry. Y’all have a nice day.”
A tap on her left shoulder had her turning to face a middle-aged couple. The man had already lost a battle with a receding hairline. Catching Donna’s gaze, he smiled, revealing an overlapping tooth. “I think you might be looking for us.”
AUTHOR Bio and Links:
M. K. Scott is the husband and wife writing team behind the cozy mystery series, The Painted Lady Inn Mysteries, The Talking Dog Detective Agency, The Way Over the Hill Gang, and Cupid’s Catering Company.
Morgan K Wyatt is the general wordsmith, while her husband, Scott, is the grammar hammer and physics specialist. He uses his engineering skills to explain how fast a body falls when pushed over a cliff and various other felonious activities.
The Internet and experts in the field provide forensic information, while the recipes and B and B details require a more hands on approach. Morgan’s daughter, who manages a hotel, provides guest horror stories to fuel the plot lines. The couple’s dog, Jane, is the inspiration behind Jasper, Donna’s dog.
All the series are full of quirky characters, humorous shenanigans, along with the occasional murder.

The story looks so interesting. Can’t wait to see what it will bring.
Hi Eve,
The best way to find out is read Two Many Sleuths. It is currently .99 cents and free on Kindle Unlimited.
Thanks for hosting!
My pleasure!
Cute cover! My question for the authors is what are the pros of writing with a partner?
My husband isn’t a cozy fan, so he picks up on things I haven’t explained well assuming cozy readers will know. They don’t always know.
Can’t go wrong with a good murder mystery
That’s what I think when I crawl in bed at night and open up my Kindle. 🙂
Since this is part of a large series, is this a standalone read?
I make everything a stand alone. It is a series in the fact each book has the same characters.
Sounds great.
I love cozy mysteries!
Me too, Aubrey.
