The Almond Joy of an Historical Romance Trick-or-Treat Hop

It’s the BEWITCHING time of year. Join me and over 30 authors in a Halloween hop. Visit each author’s link, find their candy, and report it back to Heather. Many of the authors (including myself) have individual giveaways besides the $150 gift card, so start collecting the treats!

My spooky choices are eclectic, ranging from movies like Sinners to Practical Magic. The only type I don’t enjoy are the slasher films. What kind of spooky do you like? Comment for a chance to win a $5 Amazon gift card and a free copy of my eerie short story below.

My husband loves to say that my sisters and I are the real version of the Sanderson sisters of Hocus Pocus. Since this is one of my favorite Halloween films, I let him slide. Below I’ve posted a picture of me and my sisters and then of the Sanderson gals. I’m on the far left and supposed to be Bette (so I should be in the middle). My sister next to me is Jessica and my youngest sister Kathy. What do you think?

Percy’s Perdition

The past looks over your shoulder…
The Earl of Karmaughton cares about two things in life: power and his wife, Ellie. He’s not oblivious to the suffering caused by his investment decisions. But the innocent are expendable, and as Percy’s father always said, “It’s business.”

Lady Karmaughton will never convince her husband to listen to his conscience. Instead, she quietly works behind Percy’s back to atone for the damage. When their lives abruptly end in a horrific carriage accident, Ellie finally has the opportunity to save her husband’s soul.

While Karma bides its time…
The callous nobleman learns that for every action there is a consequence. To avoid his punishment in Hell, he must spend his time in Purgatory—a strange place that resembles an abandoned circus. His task: helping other souls repent or find their way to eternal damnation.

With Ellie’s help, Lord Karma’s Karnival becomes an eerie last stop for those who need to discover their humanity…or suffer in perpetuity.
