One thing is certain- numerous accidents have occurred at the spot, and more than one person has had a ghostly encounter there.

I have linked this spooky legend to my final Trysts and Treachery book, THE LORD OF THE MANOR, and used it to tell the tale of the accident-prone maidservant, Letty Carter, who works on the manor.
